Event: East Midlands NIHR Industry and SME Roadshow Event

Description: Are you a Medtech SME or an organisation supporting medtech SMEs to get an innovative Medical Device, Diagnostic or Digital Health Technology to market?
The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) invite you to apply for a place at this half day roadshow specifically tailored for medtech SMEs to find out how the regional NIHR infrastructure can help with:
- opportunities for non-dilutive funding
- formulating research plans, finding collaborators, supporting centres, data, samples and facilities for R&D
- conducting clinical trials in the NHS and other settings
- connecting you to other organisations that can help
- connecting with the local NIHR Infrastructure
The event will be held at, and in partnership with, Nottingham Trent University, Clifton Campus. The university has a range of facilities and expertise to support medtech SMEs in developing high value products and is offering tours of facilities on the day. On site car parking is available for attendees.
Event: Securing Better Health, Ageing and Wellbeing

Description: By 2040, nearly one in seven people in the UK is predicted to be aged over 75, with many living with multiple morbidities.
The Blue Zone Consortium (BZC) is a partnership between Nottingham Trent University, University of Leicester and Northumbria University Newcastle, supporting research related to three transversal themes:
- Metabolic health
- Health and ageing across the life course
- Transformative technologies to tackle health inequalities
Their mission is to support inter-sector collaboration to reduce the gap between health span and lifespan.
The event
Hosted at Clifton Campus, NTU, this event will facilitate cross-sectoral networking with the aim of sparking ideas for new collaborations between business and universities to aid the advancement of health and anti-ageing initiatives. The BZC team will share information on the funding opportunity, with a potential £15k available through the Blue Zone Consortium Flexible Talent Mobility Account (FTMA). Intended to support projects that contribute to the mobility and development of researchers, technical professionals across industry, academia and NHS.

Event: East of England HealthTech Cluster: Connecting People, Creating Opportunity

Description: This event, hosted by Medilink Midlands, Health Tech Enterprise and SEHTA is the second in a series of growing the East of England MedTech cluster. In this session we will be summarising and feeding back on the gathered opinion of the first event and laying out the next steps for supporting HealthTech in the East of England.
Attendees will benefit from an expert talk on the deployment of digital health into the primary care sector and we will have a number of SME pitching slots available in which companies can present themselves and highlight any interesting development areas or immediate support needs.
There will be ample time given for networking, to allow delegates to find new connections and share views on the regional needs and focus.
